moving

That's right, we're moving...where you ask? To Phoenix Arizona! It's a long story and the short story is that God brought a job opportunity to us, we sought a prayed and accepted. Jason will be the Pastor of Children's Discipleship at Camelback Bible Church in AZ. We are excited and overwhelmed. We are leaving Jan 2. So we are in the midst of packing and painting. the house is for sale and we are awaiting the big day. Pray for our sanity and that we will be able to rest and enjoy Christmas.

the other day we were done eating and so everyone was excused, however not everything was put away! Kiah decided that she was still hungry and grabbed the pot of peas off the table! All I could do was laugh and grab the camera

Kiah and mommy

I am rarely in photos, because I am usually behind the camera, so I had a friend take this one of me and Kiah.

gone fishing

One of the things that we did while at Papa and Nana's was go fishing. The boys had so much fun and were surprisingly patient. When they caught one it went in a big bucket and later released.

Kiah combs daddy's "hair"

So, the other day Kiah found a brush and decided to "comb" Jason's head! It was cute. She can stand for a few seconds by herself. I think she'll be walking in 2 weeks; I hope I'm wrong.

Triathlon

Jason ran his first triathlon on Saturday. He did a really great job and finished:) Is was a hot day, so it made the running difficult, but he did it yeah! I am so proud of him. The distances were 300yd swim, 12 miles bike, and 3 miles run.

Golf Dream - At Least for me...

Justin, Isaac and I went to the local golf tournament at the course I used to work at as a server. We went to watch my favorite golfers, Omar Uresti. The previous few weeks, while watching the Golf Channel, the boys and I had been practicing our "hook'em horns"a hand sign from the University of Texas. Omar and his caddy use it in a handshake after every birdie, so the boys and I were prepared to join in.

The day was hot, and sweaty. I looked part Sherpa with two water bottles hanging off my belt, and my cargo shorts full of carrots and trail mix so the two boys would make all 18 holes in the 95 degree heat. As luck turns out, Omar was paired with David Morland IV, a golfer from Aurora, Ontario. On the second hole, David gave Isaac a ball with a smiley face on it. When we got the the 18th (they started on the back nine), Omar and David asked if Justin and Isaac would like to ride with them to the next tee (about 6-700 yards away, up a hill) in their courtesy cart. So Isaac climbs up on Omar's lap, and David holds onto Justin. When I finally caught up to them, I was running behind, Justin and Isaac were each drinking from water bottles given to them by the pros. They also got some Powerade as well. By the end of the day, they each had a ball from both players, signed. To walk around a course with a 4 & 5 year old who stayed quiet and polite the whole time was a sight to behold. At the end of the round, both Omar and David had a lot of nice things to say about the boys. After five hours on the course, the boys had a bath, dinner, and a long sleep. I watched the pros play the front nine the next morning, and they asked about the boys. It was impressive to see guys who are amazing pro athletes, take the time to recognize some kids. As a dad, it was one of my best days with the boys. They made me so proud.

Our Precious children

I finally got a good picture of all three kids, so I thought I'd share it with y'all. Here's one if Kiah crawling too.

Kiah

Kiah is a busy baby, she is crawling and pulling up on everything.

The monster

Isaac wakes up this morning and asks to climb in bed with us because he had a dream about a monster. Later when asked about his dream he said "a monster was trying to take my socks" (he wasn't wearing any) when asked what the monster looked like Isaac says " It looked like Tyrone" (the moose from Backyardigans) :)

Happy baby

We went golfing for Isaac's birthday, Kiah had a great time in the stroller.
In the past month she has learned to sit by herself, go from her tummy to sitting and how to crawl. she is now trying to pull up on things.

Soccer

The boys both started soccer today. It was so fun to watch them. Their team lost, but they had fun. It is basically "herd" ball everyone runs after the ball!

I'm stuck!

Kiah is rolling everywhere and manages to get just about anywhere she wants to go. The other day she got part way under our big green chair. Too cute!

Justin's world Part 2

One of the great things about Justin is his love for his sister, Kiah. Every morning he waits for her to awake. Upon first movement (yes, sometimes she is still asleep) he runs to her side. He has taught himself to pick her up from the bed and cuddle, like you see below. Oh, notice the glasses? He recently got them. He loves to wear them and I think he looks distinguished. He has already been teased about them to, at Bible study no less. Kids are so ruthless. Karate lessons start soon!!!!!

Justin's world

tonight at bed time justin says " Mommy, after we're done brushing our teeth can we have some jelly beans?"

"I want to sleep on top on my covers so I don't have to make my bed" ah the logic of a 5 year old

Jason and Kiah

Kiah was nice and warm with Daddy in her sling

Isaac sleeps

after a busy day at the beach Isaac, who swore he was NOT tired, fell asleep on the couch.

the beach

We went to the beach last week and had a blast even though it was chilly.
